Bubbles

Why bubbles? We created our Fizzy Chard for many of the same reasons that we have produced all of our wines. We want people to have options that are made with only the finest ingredients, accessible to everyone, (vegan, gluten-free, and no added sulfites) and at a price point you can appreciate. As the first Organic Winery in the USA, we take our job to provide the country with clean drinks seriously. To make sure that there’s an organic and budget-friendly bubbly on the market, without further ado, we bring you Fizzy Chard!

Something Fizzy This Way Comes…

Fizzy Chard begins with our USDA-certified Organic Chardonnay, chosen especially from vineyards known for producing fruit with creamy texture and light, tropical-fruit acidity. After a stainless-steel fermentation, we add fizz through a state-of-the-art carbonation process. We carefully control the bubbles to achieve just the right amount of delicate spritz.

Unscrew the Organic

Frey’s motto “Uncork the Organic” has always applied to our wines thus far. However, we wanted to make this carbonated California Chardonnay the superlative of functional. Bubbles on demand when you want them! Instead of a cork, the Fizzy Chard features a convenient screw top so that you can serve glasses of Fizzy Chard at your leisure while keeping the bubbles bubbling. Once the bottle is opened, it can stay fizzy in the fridge for several days and multiple individual servings.

Tasting Notes

The Fizzy Chard palate is bright and citrusy, with very fine effervescence that sets flavors of pineapple, lemon chiffon, and pomelo zest aloft. It pairs well with soft-ripened cheeses, crisp salads, and seafoods like oysters, ceviche, and sashimi.

Label Art

The label design draws from both Art Nouveau graphics from the late 19th century and Summer of Love graphics from rock posters of the 1960s. We also give a cheeky nod to the infamous and enduring Perrier-Jouët Champagne label, an icon of the pinnacle of bubbles! Thanks to Nicole Martenson and her gorgeous designer’s eye for crafting this masterpiece!
